The Florin Resource Conservation District is reestablishing a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to provide input regarding the water rate study for the Elk Grove Water District, which is now underway. The CAC may also be used to assist the District with other issues such as water quality and capital improvement planning.
In July 2012, a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was established to help the District with the last water rate study. During that process, the CAC was helpful in providing ideas and feedback regarding water quality, changes in water rates, and the future needs of the District. Between August of 2012 and April of 2013, the District held several Community Advisory Committee meetings. Ten members of the community (residents, property owners, and business owners) participated in those meetings, which provided constructive and purposeful insight to the District from the customer’s perspective.
The Community Advisory Committee meetings are anticipated to begin in January 2018. The District looks forward to meeting with individuals from our community, in an effort to serve our customer’s differing needs. Interested individuals may apply by obtaining an application from Elk Grove Water District or download by clicking Community Advisory Committee Volunteer Application. The deadline for applications is December 15th, 2017, at 4:00PM.
